Hugh Jackman Fake Impersonating Alan Rickman is Hilarious

The Wolverine - UK Premiere - Red Carpet Arrivals

Hugh Jackman has had a very successful career throughout his years in the industry.  After making his on-screen debut in a 1994 episode of Law of the Land, Jackman has gone on to make a name for himself on the big screen. Despite gaining the love and respect of his fans, Jackman has also become a favorite amongst some of the other big names in Hollywood.  Jackman has formed an especially close bond with fellow star, Alan Rickman, who has found a great deal of success on stage and served as somewhat of a mentor for Jackman who has also taken his talents to the stage.  Rickman has also appeared in several successful films including the Harry Potter franchise, Die Hard, and The Butler.

Recently, Jackman decided to give his friend a shout out in a very fun and creative way. Jackman uploaded a video of himself impersonating a line from Rickman’s role as Severus Snape in the Harry Potter series in which he tells his students to turn to page “three hundred and ninety-four”.  Although many believed that Jackman’s impersonation was authentic, it was actually the result of some pretty cool technology. Using the popular new app, DubSmash, which allows users to lip sync over a popular audio recording while recording themselves using their devices camera, Jackman, was able to mouth the words as if he were actually speaking them.

Although the video is just two seconds long, it’s always great to see celebrities have a good sense of humor, and it’s nice to see Jackman be in front of the camera in a different way.  There aren’t too many people who could gain so much attention with only a two scone video.

Rickman has not yet responded to the video, but there’s always a possibility he could Dub Smash something of his own.
